# CEI

CEI - matrícula no Cadastro Específico do INSS\
Todas as pessoas, físicas ou jurídicas, consideradas e equiparadas a empresas pela legislação previdenciária, estão obrigadas à matrícula, que se caracteriza como ato de cadastramento para identificação do contribuinte na SRP (Secretaria de Receita Previdenciária).\
A matrícula da empresa será feita simultaneamente com a inscrição no CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica), ou perante a SRP, no prazo de 30 dias contados do início de suas atividades, quando não sujeita a inscrição no CNPJ, inclusive a obra de construção civil. A unidade matriculada será identificada pelo CNPJ ou certificado de matrícula com número cadastral básico de caráter permanente (CEI - Cadastro Específico do INSS). A matrícula CEI pode ser feita pela Internet ou nas agências da previdência social. O contribuinte deve informar os dados necessários de acordo com a atividade exercida.
