# Devoluções

Refere-se ao processo de retorno financeiro de valores aos contribuintes, decorrente do acúmulo de saldos credores ou de pagamentos realizados de forma indevida no sistema.\
\
No contexto do novo regime tributário, esse retorno de recursos é processado eletronicamente e ocorre por meio de três modalidades distintas, dependendo da origem e da destinação do saldo. Essas modalidades dividem-se em:

* **Ressarcimento**: utilizado para reaver saldos de créditos acumulados que não puderam ser compensados com os débitos do período.
* **Restituição**: destinada especificamente a devolver valores pagos de forma indevida ou em montante superior ao devido.
* **Transferência**: permite repassar créditos já homologados pelo sistema para terceiros ou para outros estabelecimentos da mesma empresa.
