# EDI

EDI é o Intercâmbio Eletrônico de Dados (Eletronic Data Interchange). É uma forma de as empresas trocarem informações por intermédio de arquivos textos previamente definidos. No caso de transportes, as empresas enviam as informações constantes das notas fiscais para as transportadoras, e as transportadoras devolvem para as empresas as informações referentes aos conhecimentos de transportes, faturas etc.
