# NIF

O número de identificação fiscal, abreviadamente designado por NIF, é um número sequencial destinado exclusivamente ao tratamento de informação de índole fiscal e aduaneira, devendo ser gerado de forma automática em conformidade com as disposições constantes do presente diploma.\
Este número é fornecido pelo órgão de administração tributária no exterior indicador de pessoa física ou jurídica. Seria equivalente ao CPF, que identifica a pessoa física, ou ao CNPJ, que identifica a pessoa jurídica no Brasil.\
No registro "X340 - Identificação da Participação no Exterior" da ECF do SPED Contábil Fiscal, o "Número de Identificação Fiscal" (NIF) deverá ser informado caso a empresa possua negócios realizados no exterior com países que adotam códigos de identificação fiscal.
