# Nota Fiscal Eletrônica
A nota fiscal eletrônica (NF-e) é um modelo de documento fiscal digital criado para substituir as notas fiscais de modelos 1/1-A. A validade jurídica da NF-e é garantida pela assinatura digital.\
A NF-e foi instituída pelo Ajuste SINIEF 07/2005 e vem sendo adotada de forma voluntária por contribuintes do ICMS desde 2006.\
O Protocolo ICMS 10/2007 torna obrigatória a utilização da NF-e a diversos setores da economia com vigência a partir de 01/04/2008.\
No Portal Nacional da NF-e () poderão ser encontrados documentos como o Manual de Integração do Contribuinte que detalha as especificações técnicas da NF-e, o Manual de Contingência que define os procedimentos a serem adotados nos casos de mau funcionamento dos servidores/aplicativos NF-e, entre outros.
