# Split Payment
O Split Payment (Recolhimento na Liquidação Financeira) é um mecanismo de arrecadação e uma das modalidades de extinção do débito tributário introduzidas pela Reforma Tributária. Ele define a separação automática e instantânea do valor de uma venda no exato momento em que a transação financeira é liquidada.\

O sistema cruza as informações do documento fiscal eletrônico com a transação financeira e funciona com base em duas frentes de destinação do dinheiro: a parcela do fornecedor e a parcela do Fisco.\
\
Ao automatizar a arrecadação na origem da movimentação financeira, esse modelo combate a sonegação fiscal, reduz a inadimplência e diminui o peso da burocracia para as empresas, que deixam de emitir e pagar parte das guias de tributos de forma manual ao fim do mês.
