# Valor Aduaneiro
Na maioria das vezes, o valor aduaneiro da mercadoria é encontrado a partir do seu valor FOB (Free on Board), acrescido dos valores do frete e seguro internacionais, convertendo-se esses valores para Reais, por meio da taxa de câmbio do dia do registro da importação.\
É a base de cálculo do imposto de importação. O valor aduaneiro deve ser apurado na forma prevista no Acordo Sobre a Implementação do Artigo VII do GATT (Acordo de Valoração Aduaneira ou, simplesmente, AVA-GATT), aprovado pelo Decreto Legislativo n° 30/94 e promulgado pelo Decreto Executivo nº 1.355/94, o qual possui status de lei e estabelece as normas fundamentais sobre valoração aduaneira no Brasil. A aplicação do AVA-GATT, atualmente, é disciplinada pelos artigos 76 a 83 do Decreto no 4.543/02 e pela Instrução Normativa SRF nº 327/03.
